[NZOSS-Openchat] ADMIN: Reminder about Posting Policies

A general reminder...

- Posts to NZOSS mailing lists are only accepted from email addresses
which are subscribed to that list. If you wish to set multiple addresses
up so you can post from home/work/role account - please subscribe each
address seperately (and then turn off mail delivery for whichever ones
suit).

- Posts to NZOSS lists are not accepted if the list is not an explicit
recipient (eg, BCC'd).

- If you post from a non-sub'd address, or if you BCC the list, I will
(immediately) be notified via email that a message has been held for
attention.

- If you post an attachment too big for the list, it'll get held for
attention too.

- Posters will also receive notice that their email has been held.

- I've been pretty good at manually approving or rejecting messages
lately... this is likely to stop as volume increases, and i'll start doing
the default thing (silently dropping).

The above is designed to deal with spam and noise quickly. Sorting
through the noise for genuine posts that require approval is tiresome and
unlikely to be something i'll do regularly. ;-)

For the most part NZOSS participants are people with quite a bit of cloo
so i'd not expect to have to intervene with posts very often. There's been
a few just recently, though, so I figured a reminder cant hurt.

As always happy to address any queries offlist - please feel free to drop
me a note. Esp if you need help subscribing secondary/tertiary email
addresses, etc. ;-)

Cheers
Mark
