the rpi is great, but for a few dollars more, there are plenty of more powerful 
alternatives, mainly based upon an allwinner cortex a8, with a 1.5GHz arm 7, 1GB 
of ram plus wifi built in. 1 usb 2.0 port also, and a microsd port

there are loads on ebay, but this is the cheapest i could find:

a few dollars over that, and you can get dual-core or quad-core, 2GB ram
